Coach Simon is an experienced and decorated hockey player coming from the University of Maryland and inducted into the ACC Hockey League Hall of Fame in 2014. Coach Simon played at Maryland from 1999-2003 and was assigned the Team Captain from 2001-2003. During his time, he received the ACCHL Tournament MVP award and led his team to two ACCHL championships. Coach Simon has over 8 years of coaching experience at a variety of ages and skill levels. Currently, he serves as an assistant coach to Texas A&M University Men's Ice Hockey Team with an emphasis on player skill development. In addition, he also serves as head coach for the Texas Outlaws Ice Hockey Tournament Team at the 12U level. Coach Simon has a specific focus on power-skating and advanced edge-work development and is a true skills coach for players at all levels. His hybrid unorthodox philosophy can challenge any student. Previous students include those at the novice, house/select, travel (A, AA, AAA), juniors (NA3HL), and college levels. Coach Simon is a level 4 registered coach with USA Hockey and safe-sport verified. 

Coach Simon also recognizes the benefit of off-ice training and has spent countless hours creating and researching the most up-to-date exercises and movements that can be translated to better on-ice performance. Coach Simon uses his unique one-of-a-kind CIRCUIT and HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING programs to develop strength, mobility, agility and endurance.
